Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation has created an endowed scholarship for residents in the pediatric dentistry program at the School of Dental Medicine. The initiative aims to support future specialists who focus on children’s dental health across Long Island and other regions.

The foundation, started by the Gentile family in 2013 to honor Adventureland co-founder Tony Gentile, is known for its commitment to local health causes and education. Adventureland operates as a family amusement park in Farmingdale, New York.

Anthony Gentile, associated with Sachem Dental Group, identified an opportunity to expand the foundation’s impact through matching programs offered by New York State and the Simons Infinity Investment Match Challenge. Motivated by Sachem Dental Group’s history of supporting the School of Dental Medicine, he encouraged his brother Steve Gentile, president of Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation, to participate in this effort.

“We are deeply grateful to Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation for this meaningful gift,” said Patrick Lloyd, dean of the School of Dental Medicine. “This scholarship will support our students as they become leaders in pediatric dentistry — wherever they choose to practice — and will leave a lasting imprint on the lives of countless children and families.”
