Jill Weissman, the founder of Beyond the Bib, attributes significant growth in her toddler-food company to Amazon’s platform and the Amazon and Enthuse Foundation Grant. This statement was made during an interview discussing her brand’s development.
“Amazon has completely changed our growth trajectory as a small, bootstrapped brand,” said Weissman. “What would have taken years and a huge investment through traditional retail was possible much faster because of our Amazon store.”
According to Sell on Amazon, the grant recognizes innovative founders who are preparing to participate in the Enthuse Foundation Pitch Competition. The program underscores Amazon’s commitment to supporting small business growth and community impact. Weissman’s selection for this initiative is consistent with these goals.
Beyond the Bib, located on Long Island, specializes in producing sauces and dips designed for toddlers and young children. Weissman states, “For a bootstrapped solopreneur, Amazon is like having a nationwide storefront you could never afford to build on your own. It gives you instant access to customers across the country and the tools to actually reach them.” She notes that more than half of their sales are generated through Amazon.
Amazon has announced that 2024 will mark 25 years since independent sellers began joining its store. The company reports that these sellers have collectively generated over $2.5 trillion in sales, with small and medium-sized businesses accounting for more than 60% of its store sales.
Beyond the Bib explains that Weissman founded the company to provide parents with nutritious and developmentally appropriate sauces and dips for young children. The brand aims to simplify mealtime with accessible products as demand continues to grow under Weissman’s leadership.
