The U.S. Census Bureau has announced new data-sharing agreements with Brigham Young University-Idaho and the University of North Carolina System for its Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) experimental data product. This initiative provides information on earnings and employment outcomes for graduates, categorized by degree level, major, institution, and state.

With these partnerships, data from 17 additional post-secondary institutions will be included in the PSEO dataset. The total coverage now extends to 952 institutions, representing about 35% of all college graduates in the United States.

According to the Census Bureau, “The PSEO are made possible through data-sharing partnerships between universities, university systems, state departments of education, state labor market information offices, and the U.S. Census Bureau.” The collected information is available through various platforms such as the PSEO Explorer tool, raw files, and the Census API.

These updates aim to help parents, students, educational institutions, and workforce agencies better understand labor force outcomes for college graduates.
