The U.S. Census Bureau will present the results of three major reports on income, poverty, and health insurance coverage in the United States at an online news conference scheduled for September 9 at 10 a.m. EDT.

The upcoming reports—Income in the United States: 2024, Poverty in the United States: 2024, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2024—draw from data collected through the Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). These reports provide national-level statistics to help assess economic trends and their impact on households, families, and individuals.

David Waddington, chief of the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division at the Census Bureau; Sharon Stern, assistant division chief for Employment Characteristics; Liana Fox, assistant division chief for Economic Characteristics; and Julie Iriondo, chief of the Media Relations Branch at the Public Information Office, will participate in presenting these findings. Iriondo will serve as moderator.

A question-and-answer session will follow immediately after the presentation. Members of media outlets can participate by phone or via Webex by Cisco. Details about how to join are available on the event’s page: https://uscensusevents.webex.com/uscensusevents/j.php?MTID=m7e0f0fe492f905f5dbb5b500a6a5fcf7.

According to information provided by the Census Bureau, supporting materials such as reports, data tables, and a news release will be made available online shortly after the conference begins.

For those seeking interviews with subject-matter experts following the release of these statistics, contact is available through pio@census.gov or by calling 301-763-3030.
