Empire State Development (ESD) has announced the Global NY Export Promotion Tour, scheduled to take place from September 3 to 11, 2025. The tour will bring representatives from more than fifteen foreign markets to various regions across New York State, offering in-person information sessions and one-on-one consultations for businesses interested in expanding internationally. Registration for the tour is available at https://esd.ny.gov/global-ny-trade-promotion-tour.

“New York companies are ready to compete and thrive in the global marketplace, and the Global NY Export Promotion Tour is a powerful way to help them get there. By bringing our international representatives directly to businesses across the state, we’re making it easier for companies to explore new markets, grow their customer base, and create jobs at home. This tour is a key part of ESD’s mission to connect local success with global opportunity,” said Empire State Development President, CEO, and Commissioner Hope Knight.

The participating foreign office representatives cover countries from six continents, including Africa, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, China, Europe, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, the Middle East, Singapore, South America, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Each event on the tour will feature presentations by Global NY representatives about global market trends and export opportunities. Attendees can also take part in Q&A sessions and meet individually with representatives during pre-scheduled consultations.

Attendance at these events is free but requires pre-registration due to limited space. Confirmation emails with consultation time slots will be sent based on program criteria. More information about registration can be found at esd.ny.gov/GlobalNY.

The tour will visit several locations throughout New York State: Long Island and New York City on September 3; Mid-Hudson and Capital Region on September 4; North Country on September 5; Mohawk Valley on September 8; Southern Tier on September 9; Central New York and Finger Lakes on September 10; and Western New York on September 11.

Empire State Development serves as New York’s chief economic development agency. It promotes business growth and job creation statewide through regional offices and programs such as Regional Economic Development Councils and ConnectALL broadband equity initiatives. The agency also supports workforce development efforts for emerging industries like clean energy and semiconductor manufacturing while operating assistance centers for small businesses. More details about ESD’s activities are available at https://esd.ny.gov/.
