FoodLab Farm produce featured at weekly farmers market at Stony Brook Southampton

Fresh produce from the FoodLab Farm is available at Stony Brook Southampton during Farmers Market Fridays, which take place every Friday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Library lobby through September and October. The produce offered is grown on the FoodLab Farm, located on campus less than a mile from the market site.

A special tabling event highlighting FoodLab will be held on Friday, September 12, from 10 am to 1 pm in the Library lobby. The event aims to inform attendees about ongoing work at Southampton.

According to organizers, “FoodLab is more than a farm, it’s an incubator for regional food systems, driving innovation through education, hands-on learning and community partnerships. With a mission to position Stony Brook University as a global leader in food-related issues, FoodLab is working to:”

Attendees can meet the team behind FoodLab, learn about volunteer or academic opportunities, and find ways to support healthier communities and environmental practices.
