The upcoming concert will feature Joy Brown on vocals, Dayna Stephens on tenor saxophone, Miki Hayama on piano, Darrell Smith on drums, and Dean Johnson on bass. According to organizers, the ensemble will explore the origins and development of American music through their performance.

General admission tickets are priced at $36. Stony Brook University faculty and staff members, alumni, and seniors can purchase tickets for $33. Tickets for SBU students are available for $18. A discount code (JAZZ5) can be used online to receive $5 off each ticket.

The series is presented in partnership with The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook and curated by its founder Thomas Manuel, who also serves as Stony Brook University Endowed Artist in Residence. Organizers describe the series as “a celebration of creativity, history and artistry.” They add that it “explores various facets of jazz music, with each performance offering a unique experience.”
