Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) brought together industry leaders and lawmakers at its annual legislative breakfast to address significant topics facing the manufacturing sector. The event, highlighted as the cover story in the November 2025 issue of Manufacturing Matters, focused on current challenges and opportunities within the industry.
In his message to members, MACNY President emphasized teamwork by stating, “Leaders run in packs.” The legislative breakfast provided a forum for open dialogue between manufacturers and policymakers about issues affecting businesses in the region.
The publication also featured a review of MACNY’s partnership with Jobs for the Future regarding registered apprenticeship programs. The article reflected on the progress made in talent development and workforce training initiatives over the past year.
Additionally, Partners for Education & Business, Inc. discussed efforts to promote science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education during Manufacturing Month. Updates were provided on energy concerns impacting manufacturers, specifically referencing ongoing pressure on aging electrical infrastructure.
Other sections included leadership development advice and information about upcoming events designed to support professional growth for individuals working in manufacturing fields.
