Moynihan Train Hall announces full schedule for 2025 holiday events

Moynihan Train Hall has announced its 2025 holiday programming, positioning the transit hub as a key destination for seasonal events, shopping, and dining in New York City. The train hall, located in the James A. Farley Building within The Penn District, connects visitors to neighborhoods such as Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, Times Square, and Midtown South.

The transformation of Midtown West is highlighted by the recent extension of the High LineMoynihan Connector, which provides direct pedestrian access from 9th Avenue to Moynihan Train Hall.

Empire State Development President, CEO and Commissioner Hope Knight said, “Moynihan Train Hall shows what’s possible when we transform historic infrastructure into vibrant community spaces that drive economic activity and bring people together. This holiday season, we’re proud that this architectural gem serves as both a world-class transportation hub and a destination where New Yorkers and visitors can enjoy art, music, dining, and shopping. Our partnerships with Sing for Hope and local businesses are creating public spaces that celebrate the best of New York while supporting our local economy and enriching the lives of millions who pass through these halls every year.”

The Moynihan Music Series returns this year featuring free live performances in partnership with Sing for Hope. Events include performances by LaGuardia High School Show Choir on December 10th; Sing for Hope HandaHarmony Youth Chorus on December 17th; Sing Harlem on December 28th; along with pop-up appearances by The Broadway Carolers presented by 34th Street Partnership.

Each winter season sees Moynihan Train Hall’s Beaux-Arts façade illuminated with seasonal lighting across two city blocks between 31st-33rd streets along 8th Avenue. Inside,the skylights display vibrant colors above travelers.

Dining options at Moynihan Food Hall range from bakeries such as Magnolia Bakery,to ramen shops,sushi bars,and Greek restaurant Avra Estiatorio recently opened nearby.The food hall aims to offer an authentic introductiontoNewYork’s culinary scene.

Retail opportunities include Runway32 abovethe food hall featuring brands like Moleskineand Malin & Goetz.A new rag & bone Miramar concept store offers exclusive items only availableatMoynihanTrainHall.

Art installations remain central tothe visitor experiencewith site-specific worksby artists Elmgreen & Dragsetand Stan Douglas.High-resolution LED screens add dynamic multimedia contentto themain concourse.
