A mansion in Alpine, New Jersey, has sold for $17.7 million, marking the state’s highest-priced home sale in three years, according to Mansion Global. The property, known as Chateau de la Roche and located at 48 Rio Vista Drive, was sold by David and Mindy Kwon. The couple purchased the land in 2011 for nearly $4 million and built the seven-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom residence in 2017.

The sale price breaks down to $689 per square foot for the 25,700-square-foot estate. The buyer’s identity was not disclosed.

Chateau de la Roche features amenities such as two indoor plunge pools, a sauna, a steam room, a conservatory, a 15-seat theater, a billiards room, a wine cellar, two bars, an elevator, a gas fireplace and a central-vacuuming system. Other highlights include a wood-paneled library with fireplace, grand central staircase and four-car garage. Outdoor features include a swimming pool and spa.

The home was designed by Zampolin & Associates Architects on its two-acre lot. Denise Albanese of Christie’s Mahwah-Saddle River Sales Gallery represented the sellers and also designed the interiors. Richard Orlando and Jason Pierce of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty along with Taylor Lucyk of Christie’s International Real Estate Group represented the buyers.

Avraham Tahari is currently marketing his nearby home at 31 Rio Vista Drive for $25 million. His property spans 21,000 square feet with eight bedrooms and includes both indoor and outdoor pools as well as an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area.
