The New York State Division of Tourism announced on May 4 a range of suggested itineraries for girls trips across the state, tailored to different interests and preferences among friend groups. The announcement highlights destinations such as Hudson in the Hudson Valley, Lake George in the Adirondacks, Geneva in the Finger Lakes, Saratoga Springs in Capital-Saratoga, Mt. Tremper and Woodstock in the Catskills, Cooperstown in Central New York, and Montauk on Long Island.

According to the division’s release, these recommendations aim to help friends plan memorable getaways that match their group’s style—whether they are seeking art and antiques, outdoor adventure, wine tasting experiences, live events, self-care retreats, animal encounters or luxury escapes. The itineraries include activities like baby goat yoga classes in Central New York and concerts at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

For arts enthusiasts visiting Hudson Valley’s Hudson area, suggestions include browsing over 50 antique shops along Warren Street and touring artist Frederic Edwin Church’s Olana State Historic Site. Outdoor lovers can explore Lake George with hikes ranging from beginner to advanced levels or try water sports like kayaking and parasailing.

Wine aficionados are encouraged to visit Geneva for access to the Seneca Lake Wine Trail’s 27 wineries as well as farm-to-table dining options. Event seekers may enjoy Saratoga Springs’ summer concert series featuring artists such as Lil Wayne and Kesha or attend races at Saratoga Race Course. Self-care-focused travelers have options like spa treatments at Emerson Spa followed by hiking near Woodstock.

Other highlighted experiences include animal-themed activities near Cooperstown—such as baby goat yoga—and brewery visits; while those seeking luxury can find spa services and boutique shopping in Montauk on Long Island. Each itinerary also includes recommended accommodations suitable for group stays.

The tourism division encourages travelers to share their adventures using #ILoveNY on social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram.
