The last three-bedroom unit above the 24th floor at Olympia Dumbo, a project by Fortis Property Group, has gone into contract. The unit, designated as 28B at 30 Front Street, was the most expensive Brooklyn home to enter contract last week, with a final asking price of $6.2 million. This follows an earlier listing at $6.65 million before the property was taken off the market in December and re-listed in March.
The apartment is over 2,500 square feet and includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The primary suite offers features such as a walk-in closet, soaking tub, and double vanity made of white maple. Olympia Dumbo, known for its sail-like design, provides amenities such as a 24-hour doorman, concierge, tennis court, swimming pools, and a fitness center.
According to Compass’ weekly report for contracts signed on Brooklyn homes listed at $2 million or more from October 6 to October 12, a total of 24 homes—10 houses and 14 condos—were signed last week, with a combined last asking price volume exceeding $79 million. This is a decrease compared to the previous week’s $115 million across 35 contracts.
Since sales began in 2021, Olympia Dumbo has sold about two-thirds of its 76 units. The building has seen several changes in its sales teams, and currently, three groups are managing sales along with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing: Jessica Peters and Carl Ekroth of The Jessica Peters Team, Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Eklund Gomes Team, and Karen and Casey Heyman of The Heyman Team at Sotheby’s International Realty. In March, Olympia Dumbo achieved a resale for nearly $10 million, setting a record condo price per square foot at $3,300.
The second highest contract last week was for a townhouse at 244 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, which had a final asking price close to $6 million. Previously purchased for $4.1 million in 2014, the property had been listed for just over two months. It spans 3,600 square feet with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Upgrades have been made to all major systems while preserving original features like fireplaces and moldings. The home also includes a south-facing garden with mature landscaping and a deck overlooking the backyard. Deborah Rieders and Sarah Shuken of Corcoran handled the listing.
The median asking price for homes put into contract last week was $2.9 million, with an average price per square foot of $1,576.
