PSEG Long Island has achieved the highest ranking in customer satisfaction among business customers in the East Large Segment, according to the J.D. Power 2025 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study. The recognition follows an 11-year improvement since PSEG Long Island began operating the electric grid.

The J.D. Power study surveyed over 18,000 business customers across the United States in 2025. The “East Large” category includes utilities serving states such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and several others in the region.

“Since we started in 2014, PSEG Long Island has worked nonstop to improve the experience for the 1.2 million electric customers we serve on Long Island and in the Rockaways — including more than 130,000 commercial customers. After a decade of diligent improvements, it is a true honor to be ranked highest in business customer satisfaction among utilities in 12 states,” said David Lyons, Interim President and COO of PSEG Long Island.

“This award is a reflection of the efforts our employees have put into developing the programs and support that businesses need,” said Lou DeBrino, vice president of Customer Operations at PSEG Long Island. “I also want to thank our business customers for recognizing our commitment through their responses to the J.D. Power survey.”

Survey respondents rated PSEG Long Island highest in four categories: Digital Channels, People, Cost, and Information Provided.

PSEG Long Island offers various programs for business customers such as free energy assessments, economic development grants and bill credit programs, energy efficiency rebates, and incentives for electric vehicles and charging stations.

The company assists its largest business clients through a team dedicated to major accounts. For small businesses, Business First Advocates provide personalized service throughout commercial districts.

Since launching several economic development initiatives in 2018, PSEG Long Island has provided more than $2.8 million to local businesses. The Main Street Revitalization program has awarded nearly $2 million to 72 businesses for renovation or expansion projects—efforts that have resulted in nearly 1,200 new jobs locally.

Business First also includes programs like Vacant Space Revival—which offers up to $10,000 in electric bill discounts during a new business’s first year—and CommunityThrive Program grants supporting items like outdoor seating or signage for local organizations.

Additionally, significant rebates are available for heating and cooling systems as well as lighting upgrades through PSEG Long Island’s Energy Efficiency group.
