Fashion designer Reed Krakoff has listed his Hamptons property for $49.5 million, according to a report from the New York Post. The estate, located at 55 and 61 Dune Road in Amagansett, offers 7,200 square feet of living space, which amounts to approximately $6,875 per square foot.
Krakoff and his wife Delphine purchased the land from photographer Antoine Verglas for $10.5 million in 2018. The six-bedroom residence sits on a three-acre parcel with 200 feet of ocean frontage and includes amenities such as a pool, five guest rooms, a gym, and a garage.
The house was built two years ago by Thomas Phifer and Partners and is composed of three glass-walled pavilions set above the ground floor. The gated estate borders a nature preserve. One pavilion contains the chef’s kitchen along with living and dining spaces; another features the main bedroom suite; the third houses a library.
Hedgerow Exclusive Properties is handling the listing. The property was first reported by Behind the Hedges.
Krakoff currently serves as creative chair at John Hardy and has previously held positions at Coach and Tiffany & Company. Delphine Krakoff is known for her work as an interior designer.
The Krakoffs have owned several high-profile properties over the years. They once owned Lasata—known as Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ summer home—which they bought in 2007 for $20 million before selling it to David Zander in 2018. In Connecticut, they are seeking to sell their 52-acre New Canaan estate for $25.5 million after purchasing it for $14.3 million in 2014. Their real estate portfolio also includes townhomes on Manhattan’s Upper East Side that sold for $15 million in 2007 and $51 million in 2014.
