Seawolves football returns to LaValle Stadium for home opener against Rhode Island

The Stony Brook University Seawolves football team will return to LaValle Stadium for their home opener on Saturday, September 6, at 6 p.m. The Seawolves, ranked #24, are set to play against #9 Rhode Island.

The event is being promoted as the “For the Island” game, highlighting Long Island’s community and spirit. Before the game begins, a vendor fair will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. outside Gates 4 and 5. The fair will showcase local artists, photographers, florists, and other vendors from the area.

Fans attending the game can expect dollar hot dogs throughout the evening. Local mascots including Wolfie, Finn, Splish, Jimbo Jaws, and Teddy will also be present for photos and interactions with attendees.
