Stony Brook Southampton Hospital to hold free symposium for Parkinson’s care partners

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Center for Parkinson’s Disease will host a “Care Partner Symposium” on November 8 at the Stony Brook Southampton campus. The event, titled “A Day to Connect, Learn and Recharge,” is scheduled from 9:30 am to 3 pm at Chancellors Hall.

The symposium is intended for care partners of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. It is organized by the Center for Parkinson’s Disease in collaboration with Stony Brook’s School of Health Professions and co-sponsored by the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. There is no cost to attend, as support comes from the American Parkinson Disease Association. In-home caregiver assistance will be available if needed.

Admission is free, but registration is required. Interested participants can register online or contact Ragan Ingram at (631) 726-8600 for more information.
