An exhibition at Stony Brook University’s Zuccaire Gallery is highlighting the work of two studio art professors, Toby Buonagurio and Martin Levine. The event, titled “Faculty Artist Spotlight: Toby Buonagurio and Martin Levine,” features over 40 pieces, including ceramic sculptures, prints, drawings, and paintings.

Professor Buonagurio has taught at Stony Brook for five decades. Her ceramic works are known for their engagement with popular culture and have been exhibited in various countries such as the United States, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, and Macao. Her art is also part of several notable collections.

Martin Levine recently retired after 39 years of teaching and holds the title of John S. Toll Professor. He specializes in printmaking techniques like etching and lithography to create detailed cityscape images. His work has appeared in international exhibitions and is included in both public and private collections.

The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Thursday, February 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., free of charge and open to everyone. The show runs until February 26.

Visitors can view the exhibit Monday through Friday between noon and 4 p.m., as well as during evenings when Staller Center hosts performances or films. For further details or to arrange a guided tour, interested parties can call (631) 632-7240 or email Zuccairegallery@stonybrook.edu.
