SBU Eats has introduced a series of updates to campus dining at Stony Brook University for the new semester. Changes include updated menus, redesigned dining spaces, and new meal-ordering options.

East Side and West Side dine-in locations have been remodeled with larger and more welcoming interiors. The goal is to create an environment that encourages community and connection among students, faculty, and staff.

Nathan’s Famous has opened at East Side Dining, offering table service that allows guests to order from their phones by scanning a QR code. Food is then delivered directly to the table, eliminating the need to wait in line. This marks the first time such a service is available at Stony Brook University.

Coffee service on campus has expanded with the arrival of Nescafé Core Barista machines at several markets, including Market at West Side, Emporium Market at East Side, and Administration Building Marketplace. These machines offer espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate, and other coffee blends.

The SAC Food Court now features FLAME, a grill concept serving burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and other classic comfort foods.

Food trucks continue to operate on campus. New this year is David’s Cookies Trailer offering baked treats. Other trucks include Anona for quesadillas and smoothies; Chatime for bubble tea; Halal Wayz serving halal dishes; and Ain Food Truck specializing in Asian fusion cuisine.

Diana Kubik, executive director of Auxiliary Services Association said: “At the heart of everything we do is our dedication to outstanding hospitality. Our team worked tirelessly over the summer, using valuable feedback from students, faculty, and staff to create dining spaces that are not only refreshed but truly welcoming. We’re excited to offer experiences where everyone feels at home and connected, building community one meal at a time.”
