Union members have set up a food pantry in Washington, D.C. as the government shutdown continues past 30 days and federal SNAP funding nears its end. The pantry provides canned goods to the public and is collecting donations for local food banks that are supporting laid-off federal workers, including some who are members of IAM Union and NFFE-IAM.

The initiative aims to help those affected by the ongoing shutdown, especially federal employees facing financial difficulties due to missed paychecks.
