Wolfie’s Holiday Toy Drive will take place on Wednesday, December 10, starting at 9:30 am at the Charles B. Wang Center and ending at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. The event features a parade that will travel across the entire Stony Brook campus for the first time, reaching both West and East Campuses.

The toy drive was created to support children and families spending the holidays at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Over time, it has grown from a simple collection effort into an annual tradition focused on service and community connection.

The Division of Enterprise Risk Management is organizing this year’s event with help from its units responsible for first response, mobility, safety, and emergency services. Their goal is to provide encouragement and care to those in need within the university community.

This year’s parade route includes new stops such as the Student Union—where complimentary cookies from David’s Cookies truck will be served—and the Long Island State Veterans Home to honor veterans.

“The heart of the event remains the children and families at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Many will watch from their windows, some will receive a gift from Santa and a few helpers. All will feel the campus behind them and that they are not alone in their health journey.”

Donation boxes have been placed in high-traffic areas on campus, and two wish lists are available online for those who want to contribute. More information about donation locations and wish lists can be found on the ERM website.
